About the organisation:
ARPA was established in 1995 as an environmental control technical support body for regional, district and local authorities. ARPA’s functions, activities and tasks cover all aspects concerning environmental control, including: monitoring of various environmental components, management and surveillance of human activities and their territorial impacts, activities in support of the environmental impact assessment of plans and projects, creation and management of a regional environmental information system.
ARPA employs more than 1100 people in working in the central management and in 9 districts of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
Organisation role in the Natreg project:
ARPA cooperates with the Region of Veneto to develop all the activities of Natreg. The most relevant activities are allocated in:
- WP 2: contribution to communication and dissemination tasks;
- WP 3: analysis of the situation in the pilot area and identification of best practice cases;
- WP 4: co-organisation with the Region of Veneto of the Study visit to the Po Delta and the seminar with local stakeholders;
- WP 5: development of an integrated management plan for the interregional Park in the Po Delta.
