Institute of the Republic of Slovenia has presented the Slovene practices in Natura 2000 management planning at the 3rd expert group on the management of Natura 2000 IN Brussels. The meeting was organized by the EU Commission at the DG Environment. At the meeting all the representatives of the EU member states were present and also some of the international civil and expert nature conservation organizations such as WWF, EUROSITE, IUCN, etc.
Gregor Danev as a member of the group presented Slovene practices and also some of the issues for the future improvements. NATREG was mentioned as a possible best practice in the participation process of protected areas management planning, awareness rising with ecosystem services evaluation and better business planning or financial feasibility in planning nature conservation measures.
