About the organisation:
The REC CO has been operating in Slovenia since 1994. The REC dedicates majority of capacities and work to support the sustainable development, mainly with capacity building of environmental stakeholders, information dissemination and supporting public participation in environmental decision-making. The REC CO in Slovenia has a permanent staff of 5 employees, but cooperates with a pool of other experts. The concrete areas of excellence are:
- Introducing new trends in sustainable development policy-making and implementation of international conventions and environmental legislation;
- Multi-stakeholder dialogue, supporting the partnership principle and public participation;
- Communication and dissemination activities.
REC CO SLO is responsible for WP2 Communication and Dissemination and it also cooperates with partners in activities related to training and knowledge management, developing the integrated management and joint strategy for integrated management.
